British gas homecare problems?

all these big companys are the same gas water electric and water, we are frightened into not using the policies they advise us to take out, for example, if the water leaks your side of the metre its up to you to pay for the work, this stops you quierying your water bill, our phone stopped working due to water gettin into a box through a hole that the bt man had drilled to get the cable into the house, i was told i had to pay for the maintanance because i hadnt used resonable precautions to stop water getting in, [excuse me, you drilled the hole why didnt you use reasonable precautions to stop it happening], and as you say the we dont make these anymore you will have to buy a new one excuse is always a good one
