You are exactly right about the way it shook out this time. Its more ironic than anything though. The actual problem with this particular situation lies with Jerry Jones. Jason Garrett was coach in waiting anyway for a couple years. The team responded to him and played a little better Rooney Rule or not why not take the "interim " tag off weeks ago and" promote" the guy.
