Yahoo e-mail screw up?

Alright, so my little brother decided that he'd open a Yahoo e-mail account this morning, just so he could buy something online. Now, the problem is that after opening it only once this morning and already ordering what he wanted, he no longer can access his e-mail. I believe he must have had a typo somewhere, and even the recover the pword thing doesn't work. Since he needs probably needs those e-mails, is there anyway to get at them now?
