I've had steak in the freezer for about a week. When I took it out to thaw, there are brown spots...?

I bought it and directly put it in the freezer. Its unopened and untouched. It has been in the freezer for about a week. When I took it out to thaw, it seemed frosted, and it has a few brown spots on it. Is it just freezer burn? Is it okay? I don't think it would have gone bad in a week, considering meats can go for a few months in the freezer.
